The crisis unfolding in NSW due to COVID-19 could potentially be any aged facility in Australia. While the organisation and care team are working tirelessly to manage the clinical risk, the sense of helplessness and the frustration of the families is being profiled by the media. The big learning to date is one of communication. Families need information, and they need to be able to access a feedback system outside the facility.
